Real Plants make all the difference!

Ok, let me start by sharing a confession. Here it goes - I am a plant killer! I do get better at managing it though. So full disclosure - my plants don’t always look as good as they do in these photos.
I do love the way real plants elevate the space! We probably have 12-15 plants in the house - they complete the space and make it come alive.
If you are wondering where to begin and how to take care of plants, I’d say start small - get 1 or 2 at first, read instructions on the watering schedule, and set a reminder on your phone calendar to water them on schedule. Also, pay attention to sunlight. Some plants may be sensitive to it, others - may require a lot of it. You’ll usually see the difference in your plant within a few days. If its needing more/less sunlight, just move it to another spot and see what happens.
Where do I get my plants?
I buy most of my plants from IKEA, Home Depot or a local grocery store (That would be HEB Plus! here in Central Texas). There are so many affordable options - most of my plants cost $20-30. I even scored a Fiddle Leaf Fig (not shown here) at HEB a few months ago for only $13. Those usually sell for $50 and above. So I’d say definitely check an outdoor section at your local large grocery store.
How about the planters?
Ok, so if you thought plants were expensive, wait till you get to the planters. Right?! Those cost a ridiculous amount sometimes - $50-100 each at Target. I get mine at IKEA ($10-20) and Amazon though. Also, a wicker basket is always a great option - IKEA sells plain wicker baskets and Amazon carries lots of different color options and sizes.
